AJAYI ALEXANDER OMONIYI

Group Managing Director

Mr Ajayi has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the American University in Washington D.C., a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Buckingham in the UK and one year of doctoral studies (PhD Economics) at Columbia University, New York. His business background includes stints in the telecommunications, financial services and utilities industries. He is also a director of Canji Projects ATV FZE, an innovation hub complex to be executed in the FCT, Nigeria and Motorcity Nigeria Ltd (promoting motoring and motorsport development in Lagos, Nigeria). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Administration and Chartered Institute of Economists. Alexander is married with children.

AJAYI ANDREW ADEMOLA

He holds a LLB Law from the University of Leicester UK, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham UK and MSC Marketing & Business Management from the University of Bedfordshire UK. He worked in various organisations in the UK such as IBM Debenhams and GFK NOP. He returned to Nigeria in 2008 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009. Prior to joining Financial Trust Group, he worked at Templars Barristers and Solicitors, Lagos State Lottery Board and The New Practice Barristers and Solicitors. He has vast experience in Company Secretarial services, Company Law practice, International Trade Finance, Oil and Gas Transactions and Property Law practice.

Ovo Emorhokpor is a founding partner at Beta Ventures a Delaware registered Venture Capital firm operating in Nigeria. Beta Ventures has two funds under management and fund II is anchored by Triple Jump B.V. out of the Netherlands. It invests in early-stage technology enabled companies. He is also a co-founder and a Director of Siziba International Ltd., a pan‐African investment firm. Notable investment by Siziba is Amayi Foods, owners of the popular brands – Toma Peppe, Poi Poi Sauce and Rodo Peppe. Ovo is a seasoned executive with over 20years experience in senior- level roles in technology and corporate business development in the US and Nigeria. His past professional experience includes managerial positions at Goldman Sachs, AOL, and Chubb Insurance. He sits on the boards of Ajo Card, Produce Africa Technologies Ltd., Abia Retail Company (ARCO) Ltd., and Financial Trust Group in Nigeria. He obtained his B.A Computer Science from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, USA and his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA

DR. AMINU BABA NABEGU (MNI) FIBM, AMNIM

Aminu Baba Nabegu was born on the 25th May, 1957 in Kano city. He holds a B.sc (Hons) degree in sociology from Bayero University and an M.sc degree in Economics from the Long Beach University, Los Angeles. He is also an Associate member, Nigeria Institute of Management (AMNIM) and fellow of Business Administration (FIBN) Alumni, Association of National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies. On completion of his youth service, Nabegu joined the family business (Nabegu Company Nigeria Ltd) in 1985 Aminu Baba Nabegu is a shrewd entrepreneur and business man with a high sense of integrity and commitment and dedication to duty. He sits on the board of several companies in various of the Nigerian economy at various times. He has over 30 years hands on experience of business background in National Environment especially in the local terrain of the Nigerian’s second largest commercial city and industrial hub after Lagos. He is happily married with wife and children..

AMBASSADOR KAYODE GARRICK

AMBASSADOR KAYODE GARRICK has over 35 years of international affairs experience working with Nigerian embassies in Africa, Europe and the Americas. he has managed various political and economic relationships including trade and investment issues and has served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. He was awarded the prestigious Brazilian national honour of Grand Cross of the Order of Rio Branco and is currently serving on the Boards of prominent Chemical and Allied Products plc and as well as Relais Limited. He is the current President of the Policy and Governance Forum, Abuja and joined the board of Directors of Financial Trust Company Ltd in December 2021.
